$4.20 Per Pound:Price of Ground Beef Climbs to Another Record

The average price of ground beef climbed to another high, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  The new record for a pound of ground beef has risen to $4.20 per pound, In August 2014 the average price of ground beef rose to a record of $4.00 for the first time when ground beef was then $4.013.  In September the price rose to $4.096.  In October the price rose to $4.154 per pound, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  A year ago, in November 2013, the average price for a pound of ground beef was $3.477.  Five years ago, the price for a pound of ground beef was $2.062.  The price of ground beef in the last five years has risen 103.7 percent. 

The price of groceries in general have risen the last few years.  Just recently, the price of a pound of bacon has skyrocketed.  Sad to say, I believe it will continue going in that direction when you consider the prices have risen when it comes to health care and fuel for transportation, until recently.  To read the full story, click on the above link from CNSNews.com.
