Paul wins CPAC presidential straw poll, Rubio takes second | Fox News

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) speaking before an audience at CPAC.

Senator Rand Paul won this years Conservative Political Action Conference 2016 presidential preference straw poll.  Paul was considered the favorite to win this award for no other reason than the fact that he led in a 13-hour Senate filibuster not too long ago.  Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio finished second among the 23 names on the ballot, garnering 23% of the vote.  Paul won with 25% of the vote.  The poll was co-sponsored by the Washington Times.

Even though Paul may have won the CPAC straw poll this year, don't look for him to be a likely candidate to win the GOP nod in 2016.  His chances of winning the GOP nomination for president in 2016 are as great as his dad's (former Congressman Ron Paul) was.  He doesn't fit the mold that the globalists desire.  The most likely candidate to win the 2016 GOP nomination is Jeb Bush, according to my view.
