GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney cruised through Arizona, winning all the delegate votes in that state.  Romney also won the endorsement of Arizona Governor Jan Brewer prior to the primary Tuesday.  Politico says that Romney had an ugly win in Michigan.  What's interesting about Romney's ugly win in Michigan is that Michigan is Romney's home state and Michigan isn't necessarily a "conservative" state in the sense as Tennessee or South Carolina, for example.  More importantly, Michigan is the home state of Mitt Romney.  It's also the state where Romney's dad, George Romney, was governor from 1963-69.  But even Romney's former home turf wasn't enough to give him a  comfortable victory in Michigan.  The Santorum camp is stating that the race is increasingly becoming a delegate hunt.  He pointed out that with the delegate count Santorum won five Congressional districts in Michigan.  Santorum claims through the delegate count he'll either tie Romney in Michigan or surpass him in the delegate count.

The next major primaries will take place next Tuesday on March 6, 2012 where ten states will participate in Super Tuesday.  Ohio and Tennessee are two of those states.  A couple of Buckeye polls show Santorum leading in that state as of present.  Romney was in Ohio yesterday with events in Cleveland and Toledo.  He will be heading back to the Cleveland area this weekend.  There are 66 delegate votes at stake in Ohio and 58 delegate votes in Tennessee.  How well Romney fares on Super Tuesday could give an indication whether the momentum is on his side.  As of present, the race is down to two candidates which are Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum.  Click on the above link from Politico.com to read the latest results of both of the primaries.
