Romney Wins Big in Florida Primary

Romney Wins Big in Florida Primary - WSJ.com

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney won by a double-digit margin Tuesday evening defeating Newt Gingrich 46% - 32%.  Fueled by a nearly 5 to 1 spending advantage over his top rival, Romney outpaced the former House Speaker among conservatives and Tea Party supporters and drew nearly even with him among evangelical Christians, according to surveys of voters leaving polling sites.  Those voters had gravitated to Romney's opponents in prior contests.

As I've just mentioned, Newt Gingrich came in second place with 32% of the vote.  Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum trailed a distant third at 17% and Texas Congressman Ron Paul placed at 7%.  The results of this primary make Romney a formidable front runner.  As of right now in the latest poll, Romney has an edge in Nevada.  The Nevada caucus will be held this Saturday in Nevada.
