God's Holy Word

(John 5:39) "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

(Psalms 119:105) "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

The most important book  is God's holy word, the Bible.  It's the number one bestseller.  The most important book in the world is the Holy Bible which is inspired by the Holy Ghost.  I thank God for his holy word preserved in the King James Version 1611.  In it contain the words of life.  It has all the answers to life's problems.  It's very important that we take time on a daily basis to read the Word of God and allow God to speak to us.  I can give you several scriptures concerning the Word of God.  II Timothy 2:15 says we are to study to show ourselves approved unto God.  We are to be a workman that needs not to be ashamed dividing the Word of truth.  Of course we can only do that if we diligently study and follow the scriptures.  You can't use the Bible like it's some type of Ouija board or some type of good luck charm and expect it lead and guide you.  You must be diligent in studying the word.

The Bible is God's love letter to us.  God shows us through his word his love toward us.  He proved it when he sent his son Jesus to die upon a rugged cross for the sins of mankind.  Jesus died so mankind wouldn't have to go to hell when he dies.  What love!  God also warns us about hell and how awful that place is in his word. God went to great lengths warning us to not reject God and go to hell.  God lets us know through his Word how much he desires for all mankind to be saved.  It's his desire that none should perish but that all inherit eternal life.

II Timothy 3:16 says that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."  The Bible is inspired by God.  God's word is holy.  His word won't return void.  Psalms 119:89 says that his word is settled forever in Heaven.  God honors his word.  He honors his word above his own name.  That's the value God places upon his word.  You can't minimize the importance of it.  The Bible is inspired by God.  It was penned down by the prophets in the Old Testament and the Apostles in the New Testament.   Every jot and title is accurate.  Nothing needs to be changed.  The Bible is used for doctrine.  Anyone who belittles the importance of Bible doctrine is somone you don't need to follow because God makes much of Bible doctrine.  How can you discern between true and false doctrine if you don't know Bible doctrine?  The Bible also is used as a means to rebuke the child of God when he isn't in the spiritual condition he needs to be in.  It's used to reprove and correct.  The Apostle Paul corrected the saints in Corinth in the book of I Corinthians due to sin and false teachings in the church.  Paul was very stern in his rebuke of the Corinthians.  He had to set them straight and show them the error of their ways.  God's preachers have an obligation to rebuke members of their congregtion when they're in error.  If he doesn't, then those members will go astray.  We're all in need of correction from time to time.

The Bible is also used to instruct us in righteousness.  It teaches us how we ought to behave in the House of God and it teaches us how we are to live our lives before the world.  The Bible instructs us in holiness.  It teaches us to deny ungodliness and abstain from the appearance of evil.  It teaches us to be conformed to the image of Christ.

I'm thankful for God's word, his love letter to mankind.  I'm thankful we don't have to walk haphazardly in the dark in this life.  We have a book given to us that the saints didn't have during the era of the New Testament.  I'm glad we have a written copy of God's word.  It's our guide and our compass.  God loves us enough that he wants us to know what his will is for us.  That's why he gave us his Word.  How much do you read his word?  There's nothing greater than to know God's word and to allow his word to live through you.
