Former Bush Aide Found Murdered in Landfill

(Fox News January 3, 2011) A man who fought to get the Vietnam Veterans Memorial built and served under former Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, was murdered, according to Delaware police.  John P. Wheeler III, was found dead in a Delaware landfill.  Wheeler's body was found Friday after a disposal truck containing his body made pickups in Newark.  His death is ruled a homicide by the Newark, Delaware police.  They are asking the public for leads in the case.

Wheeler, who had lived in New Castle, Delaware, was chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund when Ronald Reagan was president.  He also held many high-profile government positions after graduating from West Point in 1966.  He was an experienced business turnaround consultant.  Police believe Wheeler's body has been placed inside one of the bins in Newark before a disposal truck arrived.  The Newark Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding Wheeler's homicide to contact them at 1-800-TIP-3333.

This whole scenario raises many questions.  Anytime I hear of a public official being murdered, I wonder is there some kind of coverup involved?  I know I sound like some kind of conspiracy theorist, but you wonder when a murder of some government official takes place, was his murder premeditated?  Was there something he was wanting to reveal involving illegal governmental activities and those elites in the higher echelons of government decided to stop him before he blows the whistle?  I don't have any proof whatsoever.  I'm just speculating.  I first heard this story a couple of hours ago on Fox News.  As of right now, we don't know much about the situation.  I believe these are questions worth asking.  Only time and more evidence will reveal who was responsible for Wheeler's murder and what was the motive behind it.
